Wine Glasses Galore!

November 13, 2009

We just finished yet another custom wineglass order! The bride gave all of her bridesmaids our classic polka dot design with their initial and gave the mothers another design with a swirl and each had their “role” in the wedding written at the bottom with the wedding date. She was SO thrilled with them that she has already spilled the beans to her bridesmaids about them because she just couldn’t wait!! We had fun doing them! They’re available in any color combo you wish at www.bigdayboutique.etsy.com.

New wedding invitations have been added to our etsy site www.bigdayboutique.etsy.com and our website www.bigdayboutique.com!!! Check them out!!!!!

BOUDOIR IS BACK!!!!

November 7, 2009

I am SO excited to be working with Kara from Karatography on another Boudoir session. It will be taking place the first week of December.

Sessions will take place in a downtown suite (TBD but it will be awesome!)

Not only do I do full airbrush makeup application and of course lashes, I am there the whole time to help with posing, fixing any hair strands, touch up your makeup and even change up the makeup to coordinate with different outfits. Putting lashes on alone will make anyone feel sexier! ;)

Kara does an amazing job with boudoir and making the person on the other side of the camera very comfortable and the pictures come out AMAZING. Sessions include unlimited outfits, 60 minutes of shooting time, 8×8 leather bound album and disc of images. Session starts at $500 (which includes me too!) and there are upgrades for albums, calendars, et and rush delivery if you want something special to give for the holidays!

Mansformations

November 7, 2009

Any makeup artist will tell you that they LOVE halloween – it gives us a chance to challenge ourselves by creating completely different looks. I did makeup on 2 handsome men and it was so much fun transforming them into who they wanted to be for Halloween.
It was oh-so-much fun to put makeup on my hubby Eric, he has never let me get close to him with a makeup brush and this was finally my chance!
His goal was to be Bret Michaels- for those from the 80′s era – you know him from Poison otherwise he is known for his Rock Of Love show on VH1. I airbrushed his face and arms a few shades darker than his skin color and buffed on some bronzer to give him a spray tan kind of look…then I went in with the eyeliner and smudged it out (its too funny how much men tear up when doing eyeliner – they just have NO clue what we go through!). I also added a few tattoo transfers onto his arms and viola! Bret Michaels was born!!
Jake was a little bit more of a challenge :) The very pale Jake wanted to be the Ultimate Fighter – Kimbo Slice. I had to literally paint every single part of his face, head (his WHOLE head because he is bald), neck, nose and yes – ears!! It might of been the most awesome transformation ever. I had so much fun doing it. I went in with cake makeup to do a layer to darken the skin and then went over that with airbrush foundation and it looked pretty flawless. The best was that he knew he would be wearing gloves and a sweatshirt so he left with very dark skin and pale arms and hands. I loved it and he looked awesome once his entire costume was put together!
