More of the Vintage Bride Photoshoot Pics!

Danielle is just gorgeous to begin with and vintage was one of the looks I was looking forward to the most. I had originally planned to do a very classic Marilyn look but when I saw the wedding dress and the amazing bouquet that Kristen from Kio created, I was inspired to change it up. I pulled the coral color that I saw in the flowers and intensified it in the lip color. Mary Kate rocked out the hair with some waves and a cute feather hair piece finished the look. Danielle was great in front of the camera, she was recently married so she’s had a little bit of practice Kara also found the spot for the shoot (besides taking incredible pictures!) and it was in the last spot I would of picked but boy she was SO right! More looks to come! Enjoy!

Announcing our new referral program!

We have been blessed with the best clients and wedding vendors that refer business to us all the time. As a thank you, I have decided to add on a referral program to give back to those that send clients our way. If you send us 2 people that book a beauty package with us (either hair and/or makeup), you will receive a free makeup application to be used at any time besides the day of a booked event. So, you can get your makeup done for your bachelorette party, engagement session, trash the dress session or just any special event where you want to have your makeup done.

Now – for all the legal mumbo jumbo….the booked packages must be booked within 18 months of each other, the free makeup application will be done at a mutually designated location on a date that is mutually agreed on (for instance a Saturday morning will most likely not work for us but a Saturday evening shouldn’t be a problem). The client must mention they were referred by you in the “How Did You Hear About Us” field on our contact form on the internet (or in the first email they send to us). The free makeup application must be used within 6 months. It will include airbrush makeup, eyelashes and a mini lipgloss for touchups. You will be assigned to a makeup artist that is free for the trial.

And do you need to be a current client to get the deal?…no! and do wedding planners, photographers, etc also qualify….ABSOLUTELY! When does it start?? Right Now!

Photoshoot Sneak Peek!

I had the pleasure of working with Kara Schultz – Photographer, The Frock Shop (dress rentals), Kio Kreations (floral) and Megan Lim Jewelry on a photoshoot a few weeks ago. We did 6 different wedding themes and here is a sneak peek of 3 of the looks we did – Rocker, Simple Chic and Vintage. We had so much fun working on this shoot and can’t wait to show you all the pics. I will be updating the blog on each of the themes with details in the next few weeks. Thanks to my girls for the hair and makeup assistance!

The Fat Smash Diet

So I realize this is pretty random for my blog but I think if I blog about weight loss, it will somehow give me a sense of accountability because people will be curious if this actually works. On Monday, I am starting the Fat Smash Diet…I know “diets are bad, diets don’t work in the long run, blah, blah, blah” but this diet will help re-train my body into not overeating and hopefully I can keep it up from there. I can’t have too much freedom (like weight watchers) because I’ll cheat, I know it. This is the program they did on the Celebrity Fit Club.

There are 4 phases and the first phase is brutal. It’s a 9 day detox, no coffee – no alcohol – no meat – no cheese, just vegetables, fruits, oatmeal, brown rice and yogurt. If I get past phase 1 it gets easier from there. I need to get out of my routine of going to Starbucks on a daily basis so this might not be so bad and save me some money.

So, we’ll see what happens. I can’t weight myself until after I am done with my first 9 days. Wish me luck!! By the end of this, hopefully I will finally do a boudoir session!
