Kim Kardashian usually gets it right when it comes to makeup but something about her eyelashes just scares me.  I feel like they are going to come “eat me” like a scene from Little Shop of Horrors

Other than her gangly eyelashes, her skin looks flawless and fantastic.  She needs to learn that sometimes more is just TOO much!

Maris was called on Saturday for a last minute makeup artistry job for a movie that is filming in Naperville.  The movie is called Shakey and is directed by Kevin Cooper.  Most of you may not know Steve Lemme by name but you’ll sure know him from his role in Super Troopers!  Maris also did makeup on Alfonso Arau, all the extras that day and  Janet Ulrich Brooks (who was the lead character).  Congrats to Maris on becoming a celebrity Makeup Artist! :)

Urban Decay posted a sneak peek of Holiday products for 2010 on Facebook.  Their eye primer will now come in a larger size squeeze tube!!  I buy these primers about as much as I buy Starbucks so this is a HUGE deal for me!  I imagine most people aren’t a huge fan of the odd shaped brush the regular product comes with.  I am thrilled!

If you follow my blog, you know I am in LOVE with the orginal Microdelivery Peel (the one with 2 bottles).  This new product just came out called Philosophy’s Microdelivery Purifying One-Minute Enzyme Peel so I had to give it a whirl.  I really like the way it smells and the way it feels when I put it on my face.  You can only leave this product on a max of 3 minutes.  Since I have somewhat sensitive skin, I only used it for a minute the first time, my skin felt improved but nothing really mind blowing.  The 2nd time I left it on for the full 3 minutes – you definitely feel a tingling sensation so I knew it was doing something and I’m sure it would actually begin to be painful if I kept it on more than 3 minutes.  My skin felt great and looked great for a few days.  It definitely doesn’t give the same exfoliating effect as the original but it’s nice when you are pressed for time and need a quick fix.  I will stick with the 2 bottle Microdelivery Peel and probably won’t purchase this again.  I would give it a B-, but it’s up against a really great product that would be hard to improve!

I have been trying to get a hold of this new Naked Palette by Urban Decay for weeks now.  It has been sold out and once any website or store would get it back in stock, it would be out of stock again within 5 minutes – no joke.   I had to see what the hype was all about and when I saw it in person, I knew I had to have it!  I finally got it a few days ago and it is an awesome buy.  All of these colors are great for everyday and can be used for a dark smokey eye as well.

Virgin is a great highlight color.  The matte colors Naked and Buck can have dual purposes and can be used as a great subtle eyeshadow and as a brow powder.  My favorite pairing for an everyday look is Virgin as the highlight under the brow, Sin on the lid and Smog on the crease – it would look great on anyone!

A bonus is the you get a double ended eyeliner in brown and black.  I’m not a huge fan of this eyeliner, it’ll smudge within the first 2 hours for me but after that initial smudge, it will stay on the rest of the day.  You also get a mini eyeshadow primer potion (which I LOVE!).

You can buy it at Sephora if you are lucky!  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P267200&categoryId=B70

Shocking, it is out of stock right now but they are trying to keep up with the demand and it is not a seasonal product so eventually you WILL be able to get it.  And it is SO worth the $44!
