Leslie’s wedding colors are right on trend.  Coral is THE color for makeup this year and Leslie was way ahead of the game when she picked out her wedding colors.  She didn’t even realize how trendy she was being, she just liked coral.  I was so excited when she told me her color scheme and I had a clear vision for the makeup before I even started on her trial.  Leslie doesn’t wear much makeup at all on a daily basis but wanted to look natural yet elegant on her wedding day.

Leslie’s makeup consisted of some faux lashes, shimmery champagne eyeshadow with a bit of shadowing and creamy peach blush.  Her lashes were already prepared in advance because she got them tinted at a salon and boy it made SUCH a difference, the faux lashes I applied just enhanced her eyes a little bit more.  Not to mention that Leslie has gorgeous eyes to begin with.  I also carried on the peach/coral makeup accents with the bridesmaids as well by using a peach blush and light color lip.

Her wedding was gorgeous and for someone being so quiet, she sure knows how to work a camera!  They got married at St. Peter and Paul in downtown naperville and their reception was at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge.

Congrats Leslie and Paul!  Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wonderful day.

Ooo La Loretta!

May 24, 2010

Loretta was SUCH a fun bride.  She really was one of my favorite clients and after doing her makeup for her trial, engagement pictures and then her boudoir pictures – I could do her makeup in my sleep but it also gave us a chance to perfect her look for her wedding day.  Her color scheme gave me a range of options and I loved how every bridesmaid had their own pop of color.  I also did the makeup for all her bridesmaids and it was fun to play off the particular color they were wearing.  Her pictures turned out stunning thanks to her photographer, Kara Schultz.  They must of ran all over Chicago because they have SO many pictures taken in so many neat locations in the city.  I hope to see Loretta real soon!!  I hope she does a trash the dress session or something so I can do her makeup again!! :)

Naomi was no challenge since she is already beautiful and has an exotic look to her. My goal was to accentuate on her best feature, which is her eyes, and make sure that her makeup would compliment her fall color scheme. To achieve this, I added a beige/gold shimmer on her lid and a dark bronze color on the outer corner of lid to play up her almond shaped eyes, we then topped it off with some lashes for that little extra kick! The lip and blush is neutral to let her natural beauty shine through. I can’t wait to see the whole look come together for her wedding in October!!
