I’m feeling a little inspired tonight as I gear up to go to the midnight showing of Eclipse so why not do an inspired Twilight product board? :)    If you need to go get your Edward (or Jacob), try one of these products to lure him in!

98% of my business comes from weddings, the other 2% comes from non-brides.  It’s obvious that the makeup application is seriously important on your wedding day, and it is.  But there are so many other times when you need a great makeup application:

Family Photos – you’ll still look like yourself, just a better version

Big Date? – Wow him

Bachelorette Parties – go glam on the eyelashes

To Learn – Get a makeup lesson so you can learn the proper way to apply makeup and with the colors that most suit you

Need an idea for your 14 year old daughters birthday? – hire a makeup artist to come to the party and doll up all the girls

High School Reunion – have people wondering how you’ve aged so well.

Halloween – hello!!

Murder Mystery party – you have to look the part right?

I could go on and on.  If you ever need services like the ones I mentioned, just know that we are not ONLY wedding artists.  We can help you with all your beauty needs!

Fight Chix Fashion Show

April 14, 2010

I was thrilled to do the makeup for a Fight Chix fashion show last week.  I love their clothes and I LOVE that they stand for women empowerment.  Don’t get me wrong, I love doing makeup for weddings, but Elisabeth, the owner of Fight Chix, gave me free reign to come up with the “looks” for this show.  I had the opportunity to be creative and do something a little bit different.

There were 3 different looks – half of the models were dressed up in the sporty Fight Chix gear and the other half was dressed up in the Fight Chix afterhours collection.  I decided to use the Fight Chix signature pink as my inspiration.  For the sporty collection, I did a shimmery bright pink eye and pale lip. For the afterhours collection, each model had a dark smokey eye with a bright pink lip.  The 2 main event models were a little more dramatic with winged eyeliner, rosy pink cheeks, hot pink lips and I even glued some rhinestones on their face!  Of course I added lashes to ALL of them and used my airbrush! :)

The fashion show was a hit and was held at Nova in the Chicago suburbs (Addison).  I love all of the Fight Chix clothes so if you haven’t checked out their website, you should!  www.fightchix.com
